Sharing Our ERO Akarangi Report with whānau
We're pleased to share that we have received our latest ERO Akarangi | Quality Evaluation Report, and the outcome reflects the mahi of our whole kaiako team, our leadership, and our whānau community.
ERO's evaluation looked across four key areas: the learner and their learning, collaborative professional learning, leadership, and stewardship. We're proud to share that our kindergarten was judged as Embedded in all four domains, meaning ERO found we have strong, consistent learning and organisational conditions in place to support quality outcomes for tamariki. Children's health and safety was assessed as taking reasonable steps.
The report also recognised the progress we've made since our last review, particularly in clarifying leadership roles, strengthening culturally responsive practice, and embedding internal evaluation as part of how we continually improve.
ERO has identified a few clear next steps for us, including continuing to reflect each child's language, culture, and identity within individual planning, and strengthening how we track professional growth and its impact on outcomes for tamariki. We welcome this guidance and will be weaving these recommendations into our ongoing planning.
We look forward to continuing to connect with our whānau community as we work towards these next steps together. Ngā mihi nui for being part of this journey with us.
