The kindergarten session is from 8.30am to 2.30pm, Monday through Friday. We ask that children arrive and are settled into their day before 9am. An earlier pick up is offered for children in their first few weeks as they are settling into kindergarten. This is at 12.30pm at the conclusion of storytime.
Our enrolment policy has a minimum of three days a week. We find that anything less than 3 days makes it challenging for the young child to enter into our kindergarten rhythm and there are challenges in forming friendships with the wider kindergarten group. You'll find more about our minimum enrolment on our FAQ page.
We are a licensed, early childhood centre, answerable to the Ministry of Education and the Education Review Office. The National Early Childhood Curriculum (Te Whariki) and the education philosophies of Rudolf Steiner are intertwined throughout all of our practices. We are situated in a calm and homelike environment with a commitment to developing positive relationships with both children and their families, along with a strong sense of community.
